All the existing buildings were refurbished into retail or F&B units linked by an imprinted pedestrian walkway which is mostly covered, and served by adequate public toilets and carparking facilities. Key to creating a conducive ambient is the provision of lush landscaping and retention of most of the mature trees on site; particularly a focal 70-year-old raintree.
This is a sprawling campus of pre-war vehicle showrooms, workshops and stores of which one of the main buildings has been re-purposed by the owner as a textile shop in the '70s. Almost five decades later, the 2nd-generation owners, whose original textile shop has since transformed into a home & lifestyle retail centre, decided to renovate all the remaining buildings and rejuvenate the campus as a retail and F&B urban village.
The original Art Deco language of the original main buildings were extended to the refurbished units using simple geometric aluminum shopfronts and exposed blockwork which together with an overall black & white theme unifies the disparate buildings.
